Koir Sekolah

Last school holidays, we had a combined practice on the 25th, 26th, 27th of March 2019 at the Auditorium. The practice started from 9 a.m to 3 p.m.

We practiced 茶山云雾 and our new song Rasa Nusatara under the guidance of our vocal teacher, Mdm. Khoo Hooi Lay. She taught us some new warm up techniques before she start teaching us Rasa Nusatara. Rasa Nusatara is combined by songs Canggung, Embun Sok Sek, Ketipak Ketipung and Endang. During the practice, our vocal teacher, Mdm. Khoo Hooi Lay also suggested that we can dance while singing. Furthermore, she taught us to have good sitting posture and always think high to make sure our voice does not go flat.Our singing techniques improved after the 6 hours practice.

As a reminder, all members are encouraged to practice this song at home by using NWC and remember all the advises and practice the techniques that teacher had imparted to us.

During the last school holidays, we had a combined practice on the 20th of March 2018 at the school hall. The practice started from 9 a.m to 3 p.m.

We practiced a Malay folk song, Burung Kakak Tua under the guidance of our vocal teacher, Mdm. Khoo Hooi Lay. At the beginning, she taught us some new warm up techniques. During the practice, she taught us to have good sitting posture to make sure our voice does not go flat. Our singing techniques improved after the 6 hours practice.

As a reminder, all members are encouraged to practice this song at home by using nwc and remember all the advices that teacher had imparted to us.

Mdm. Khoo was teaching the middle voice.

Every member was paying attention to Mdm. Khoo.

The members were looking through their score while Mdm. Khoo was teaching other section.

21/7 (Friday) 11a.m. – 3p.m.

28/7 (Friday) 11a.m. – 3p.m.

5/8 (Saturday) 11a.m. – 3p.m.

Members who wish to participate in the upcoming competition will be disqualified if they do not attend these practices without a valid reason.

There will be choir practice at the Bilik Syarahan on the 22nd and 24th of March. The practice on the 22nd will take place from 9 to 1 whereas the practice on the 24th will take place from 11 to 3.

Venue: Bilik Syarahan

Time: 9 p.m. to 1 p.m. (22/3), 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

This is a reminder for all members of the choir to eat breakfast before attending the practices and to practise their pieces at home.

There was choir practice for members of all forms at the school hall today. The practice was from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Our teacher, Mdm. Khoo Hooi Lay taught the members correct breathing techniques and the way to correctly position our voices. All members are advised to practise all she taught at home.

Due to the current volatile weather, this is a reminder for all members of the choir to take care of their health.

Form 5 committee members, it is mandatory to attend this practice as we’ll also be having our photo-shoot for this year’s graduation magazine.
