Morning session – 2.00pm to 4.00pm (Friday)
Afternoon session – 9.00am to 11.00am (Friday)

We had our online choir practice through ‘Zoom’. Every member had turned on their webcam before start. We had do some technique exercises, such as sight-singing, clapping exercises, and vocal exercise. Moreover, we discussed with our couch about the recording of “Suara” and there are some details that need to pay attention to when singing this song. Afternoon section learned ‘A Song Is Like An Apple’. Lastly, we were dismissed at 11.00am and 4.00pm.

Every member had to practice their song after practice.

Moreover, we also played a interesting game. For example, one S1 member sing then other member sing and record while the member is singing. Later, we also separate into few breakout room. Combine session – 5.30pm to 7.00pm (Saturday)

We had our online choir practice through ‘Zoom’. Every member had turned on their webcam before start. We had do some technique exercise, such as sight singing, clapping exercise and vocal exercise.  Later, we also separate into few breakout room. Afternoon session practiced ‘We are the world’ then morning session practiced ‘Suara’.  Sectional leader need to listen to their solo and give comment to them. Lastly, we dismissed at 7.00pm

Combine Session- 10.00-11.30pm

We had our online holiday choir practice through ‘Zoom’. Every member had turned on their webcam before start. We had do some technique exercise, such as sight singing, clapping exercise and vocal exercise. Later, Teacher Khoo Hooi Lay had announce about our choir competition. We separated in to two session, afternoon session and morning session to participate the competition. Afternoon session learn ‘We are the world’ then morning session learn ‘Suara’. They are two nice and good song. In that three days we had learn the whole song.

Moreover, we also separate into few breakout room. Sectional leader need to listen to their solo and give comment to them. Lastly, we dismissed at 11.30pm

Later, teacher had assigned us a group homework for us, ‘Scale Exercise Slower Tempo’ and ‘A Song Is Like An Apple Canon’. After finish doing homework, leader had to send teacher though ‘WhatsApps’ so teacher can give us comment to improve our singing skill.

Moreover, we had separate into few breakout room. We had play ‘Guess Who Is Singing’  together. Lastly, we dismissed at 1.30pm & 3.30pm.

We had our online choir practice through ‘Zoom’. Every member had turned on their webcam before start. We had do some technique exercise, such as sight singing, clapping exercise and vocal exercise. Later, teacher had assigned us a group homework for us, ‘Scale Exercise Slower Tempo’ and ‘A Song Is Like An Apple Canon’. We do the same thing as last practice but we need to open a new file for this week’s homework.

Things to improve and take note:
(Scale)
– use naw instead of ‘do’ & ‘so’
– sustain the notes well while singing ‘do’ and ‘so’, maintain the notes at the same pitch

After finish doing homework, leader had to send teacher though ‘WhatsApps’ so teacher can give us comment to improve our singing skill.

Moreover, we had separate into few breakout room. We had play ‘Guess The Song’  together. Lastly, we dismissed at 1.30pm & 3.30pm.

For those group that haven’t complete your assignment , need to complete it by 10pm , 21/3/2021. If later than that , whole group will not get attendances. After finish doing homework, leader had to send teacher though ‘WhatsApps’ so teacher can give us comment to improve our singing skill.

Moreover, we had separate into few breakout room. We had play ‘Guess What I Lies To You’  together. Lastly, we dismissed at 1.30pm & 3.30pm.

For those group that haven’t complete your redo parts , please complete it by 10pm , 28/3/2021. If later than that , whole group will not get attendances. Later, teacher had assigned us a individual homework for us, ‘ Scale Downward Exercise’ and ‘A Song Is Like An Apple’ After finish doing homework we had to send teacher though ‘WhatsApps’ so teacher can give us comment to improve our singing skill.

Moreover, we had separate into few breakout room. Sectional leader used their extra time to revise the technique exercise that teacher gave. Lastly, we dismissed at 7.00pm.

Saturday, 20/2/2021 (5.30pm-7.00pm)

We had our online choir practice through ‘Zoom’. Every member had turned on their web cam before start. Our president, Grace Yong Qi En had announce that we will change our choir practice to

We had gave a 80 questions online quiz about music theory through ‘Kahoot’. We had use about 45 minutes to complete the quiz. The result of the quiz is posted in ‘Google Classroom’.

Later, we had separate into 8 breakout rooms. For those get good result they had assign into another special breakout room. In this special breakout room they had play a game called ‘Guess The Song’. They need to guess the song and sing it out by sight reading. For another 7 groups they had revise again the music theory. After that, every group had revise the technique exercise that teacher gave. Lastly, we dismissed at 7.00pm.

Saturday, 30/1/2021 (5.30pm-7.00pm)

We had start our first choir practice through ‘Zoom’ on 30th January 2021.

Every member had turned on their web cam until the online practice finish. We had do some technique exercise, such as sight singing, clapping exercise and vocal exercise. Later, teacher had assigned us a individual homework for us, ‘ Vocal Technique Exercise 1’. After finish doing homework we had to send it to teacher though ‘WhatsApps’ so teacher could give us comments to improve our singing skill. Moreover, we had separate into few breakout room. Sectional leader taught their junior the ways to use ‘Soundtrap’. Later, sectional leader used their extra time to revise last year’s technique exercise. Lastly, We dismissed at 7.00pm.

‘Soundtrap’ is like an online studio, it can record, edit and collaborate on any device. All of our projects are stored online in the cloud. We also can share it to our friends and teacher after we had finish our project. After we had learned we can make virtual choir video and participate some competition with that video.
